Effect of Smoking Type, Smoking Cessation-related Psychological Factors and Nicotine Dependence on Smoking Cessation in Working Female Smokers

Objectives: Recently, female smokers are increasing in Korea. This study aims to report the dependence of nicotine and type smoking as a factor influencing success cessation among smokers.Methods: Data were collected from Comprehensive information system for service, data 862 women who used service by Gyeongnam Tobacco Control Center between June 2015, December, 2018, used. After controlling demographic smoking-related variables, multiple logistic regression analysis was performed on relationship dependence, type, related psychological factors cessation.Results: The rate 7.8%. Smoking low stimulus-seeking high addiction, habit complex type. demographic, health behavior disease affecting smokers’ (odds ratio, OR = 0.49, p= 0.020), preparation (OR 7.14, 0.015), confidence 0.015) cessation. In other words, smoked higher group than with anti-smoking dependence.Conclusions: actual strategy considering is reconsider content counseling interventions according reduce through treatment approach each resulting rate.
